Mentoring Plan: Students will meet on a weekly basis. Depending on student interests, they will either work with me on an existing project or we will develop a new research topic together. The primary responsibilities of the student will be: to find and read academic scholarship; to create annotated bibliographies; to write a rough draft of the literature review section of the manuscript; to revise the literature review section of the manuscript as needed; to check references and in-text citations; and to proofread and edit the manuscript. My responsibilities will be: to mentor and advise the student throughout the process; to acquire secondary data; to analyze data; to write the methods, results, and discussion sections of the manuscript; and to edit the manuscript. The goal is to have a completed manuscript ready for submission by the end of the semester.
