Research Focus: The research is focus on studying and mitigating the progression of Colitis in mouse models

Potential Student Project(s): The student will learn and assist in dissecting mice, harvesting of mouse tissue for histological processing, histochemical staining and molecular analysis. The tissue analysis will  include protein expression and genetic profiling.

Mentoring Plan: The student will spend at least 5h/week on the project. This would include a one hour meeting with me each week.  The mentoring plan is to provide the students with the ability to apply their knowledge in research techniques or skills.  To improve the ability of students to apply basic science knowledge in experimental procedure To improve students critical thinking and presentation skill
