Potential Student Project(s):

1. Development of script, film, performance or creative art project for a personal creative project

2. Research into a specific phase of creative process such as: a summary and comparison of Theater or Film Directing techniques, a summary and comparison of acting techniques for film or theater, a comparison of art design or cinematography in a genre of film or theater for application to personal creative application later.

3. Research into a genre, artist, or style of film or media such as: The TV sitcoms of Norman Lear, French New Wave Film Directors, The evolution of the half hour family TV Comedy, A literature summary of The One Person Play

4. Research into a specific theme or subject matter in media or performance such as: Accessibility in live performance, Representation of Teaching in film and Television, Coming of Age Films across Cultures

Mentoring Plan:

Together we will design a plan for a semester's progress and final goals. We will have weekly check ins and updates with key timelines that look something like:

Week 1- Meet and design Plan

First Deadline: Pitch for creative project or expected research goals with preliminary bibliography or references of works to include.

Second Deadline: Midpoint for project, revise pitch and plan as needed

Third Deadline: First Draft Due, Feedback for revisions or completions

Fourth Deadline: Revisions Final Week: Final Project with Reflections and Conclusions 

Student is expected to work 5 hours a week in the project, including a 1 hour long 1-on-1 meeting with me.
