International Student Scholarships

Ball State considers all international undergraduate freshman and transfer applicants for scholarships. No separate scholarship application is needed.

#YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship

The #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship recognizes international students who have a vision for enhancing intercultural understanding. Ball State University will award annual, renewable scholarships covering a $14,000 of tuition each year during your course of study. The scholarship is open to undergraduate students of all academic majors and fields of study.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Be a first-year undergraduate international applicant to a participating college or university. An international applicant is an individual who holds citizenship in a country outside the United States and who does not also possess US citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Attend (or have graduated from) a secondary school outside of the United States.
  • Demonstrate interest and personal initiative in activities involving intercultural learning and exchange.

  1. Apply for admission at
  2. Submit the #YouAreWelcomeHere application form by February 1, 2019.
  3. If awarded a scholarship, claim it by completing Ball State's orientation confirmation form.
