Muncie has a long history of community storytelling initiatives. This Virginia B. Ball Center project will engage students and community partners in learning from established models, such as StoryCorps, the Human Library, and the Facing Project to produce archival recordings and public storytelling events that celebrate and elevate the voices of Muncie.
The initiative will be anchored in Kelsey Timmerman’s Honors 390 (Fall 2026) and Honors 206 (Spring 2027), combining community engagement, narrative craft, and public performance.
