Book Arts Collaborative was a makerspace in the MadJax building in downtown Muncie where community members and Ball State students learned about letterpress printing, book binding, and artist's book design and publishing. They offered community tours and workshops in book art skills and published fine-bound artist's books. Students sold their handmade bound journals and letter press items at the Book Arts studio and various locations around Muncie.

Book Arts Collaborative showcase, Interrobang, included a three-day gathering for student and professional printers, book binders, and interested members of the public from a six state region (Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, and Michigan). It was held at MadJax that included a book launch for Karl Ahlrich's book, Spaces between Places. There were presentations by six professional book artists, and featured a shop take over by printers from Hatch Show Print, Firecracker Press, Hammerpress, University of Indianapolis, and Indiana University. Students ran the weekend events which attracted more than 100 community visitors.
