Mentoring Plan:

My mentoring plan focuses on guiding the student through hands-on research about the experiences of international and non-traditional college students, including mental health topics like impostor feelings. Each week, we will meet to discuss progress, set goals, and review questions. The student will assist with literature review, collecting data through surveys or interviews (when ready), organizing information, and analyzing results. They will also help write simple reports and prepare brief presentations to share findings. I will explain ideas clearly, encourage questions, and provide support to help the student build confidence and skills. This approach helps the student learn research methods step-by-step while gaining a deeper understanding of college student challenges. Students will work 5 hours per week on the project including one hour of a weekly meeting with me.
