Allison Hitt teaches a wide range of college writing courses, focusing on professional writing. In her scholarship she studies how disability is socially constructed and mediated through technology, whose stories and bodies are valued in the academy, and how educational institutions can enact more socially just educational practices. Her research looks at how multimodality and universal design can inform better pedagogies.
