My teaching at Ball State University revolves around rhetoric and argument for ENGLISH 103, Rhetoric & Writing, and research for ENGLISH 104, Composing Research. I have also taught numerous courses at Ivy Tech Community College, including American Literature, British Literature, and World Literature. My current research is in British Literature of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, as well as ancient literature, particularly in the area of religion. In addition, I do some creative writing (long fiction and poetry) some of which has been published and performed locally.

Areas of Specialization
Rhetoric; Ancient literature in translation with particular emphasis on religious literature (Hebrew Bible, New Testament, non-canonicals, etc.); Medieval, Renaissance, and Reformation.
