About Rebecca Gonzales

Dr. Rebecca Gonzales, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is an assistant teaching professor of Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis with over 12 years of experience in the field of ABA. Her work focuses on building strong supervisory relationships, mentorship, staff training, performance feedback, and motivational interviewing. She has presented at national conferences on supervision and leadership in ABA. Through teaching, research, and consultation, she strives to strengthen supervisory practices, foster professional relationships, and promote socially significant outcomes for practitioners and the individuals they serve.

Professional Experience

Dr. Gonzales began her career in clinical leadership, serving in supervisory roles within ABA settings. She later transitioned into higher education, teaching and mentoring graduate students in ABA. She joined Ball State University as an adjunct faculty member and became an assistant professor in fall 2025.
