Supporting Student Success

The following resources are available to help you cultivate an environment with strong communication, meaningful engagement, and shared accountability with students.

Student Success starts with communication and engagement in the first six weeks. The Faculty Student Success Toolkit offers practical, research-informed strategies you can adapt to your course and teaching style. You’ll find examples, templates, and reflection prompts that aligned with the C.A.R.E. framework for student success so that supporting student success becomes a natural, integrated part of your teaching.
The Classroom Civility and Shared Accountability Faculty Toolkit offers resources that foster inclusiveness, civility, and shared accountability in learning environments through relationship-rich practices. You can adapt these strategies to fit the unique context of your in-person, online, or hybrid courses. You are encouraged to consult this toolkit as a living resource and to continually enhance your awareness, knowledge, and skills in support of community-building, effective teaching, and student success.

Below you can find tips for a strong start to the semester and video guides from faculty detailing the supportive pedagogical strategies they recommend for the first six weeks.
