Cooper Science 2025

The Cooper Science Building has 29 state-of-the-art laboratories and 12 classrooms for the departments and units of Applied Anthropology Laboratories, Charles W. Brown Planetarium, Physics and Astronomy, Geography and Meteorology, and Environment, Geology, and Natural Resources. The Cooper Science labs and classrooms are flexible, tech-rich learning environments that foster innovation and hands-on research. In spaces such as the rooftop observatory, Cardinal Weather Service Forecasting Center, GIScience computer lab, and Dr. Paul R. Errington Physics Teaching Lab, students can immerse themselves in their disciplines alongside faculty and professional mentors.

Robert H. Cooper, a professor of biology and former chair of the Department of Biology (on faculty from 1935-1968).
