Lindsay Bennett is an Assistant Professor in the Social Work Department. Her career path focuses on continually incorporating knowledge from research and clinical practice into teaching. She currently maintains a clinical practice caseload while teaching, specializing in trauma disorders. Her research includes qualitative and quantitative approaches, with a dissertation study completed in scale development. Currently, she is working towards continuing research for complex trauma and is interested in best therapeutic practices for this population. Dr. Bennett has a targeted interest in somatic therapies, such as yoga, and advancing knowledge around the benefits of a holistic approach in treatment. Dr. Bennett teaches in the BSW and MSW programs.
