Kimberly Taylor joined the Department of Social Work full-time in 2023 after teaching adjunct for the previous six years. During that time, she also served as the academic advisor for the department. Her areas of practice include medical social work, gerontology, and end-of-life care. She is also has experience in fundraising and event planning. For years, she coordinated an annual event to raise funds and awareness for Pulmonary Fibrosis. Her father fought this disease for many years, and it is what eventually led to her love for social work and supporting patients and their caregivers during difficult times. Professor Taylor teaches BSW level courses, Introduction to Social Work, Critical Thinking and Writing, Human Behavior and the Social Environment, Rural Social Work, and BSW Practicum.
