Jess Hoffman has many years of practice experience in both inpatient and outpatient social work. She has nine years at the Youth Opportunity Center in Muncie, Indiana, in various roles. She has worked with sexually maladaptive youth, youth and families struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Professor Hoffman has excellent teaching experience, having taught multiple classes for Ball State’s Department of Social Work over the years. She also has advanced training in EMDR, trauma-informed care, group work, sexually maladaptive youth treatment, clinical de-escalation techniques, and clinical supervision. Professor Hoffman teaches undergraduate and graduate social work courses.
