Sports Clubs

Sport Clubs are recognized student organizations that promote and develop interest in a particular sport or activity. These interests may be competitive, recreational, or instructional, and participation in sport clubs is voluntary. Each club is organized and run by its student members under the supervision of the Office of Recreation Services. The program emphasizes student leadership and development. Because of this, students’ involvement in clubs enhances their university experience and contributes to their overall education.

How to Join a Sport Club

To join a sport club, please reach out to the sport club contact you are interested in. View the list of sports with contacts.

The views, opinions, and statements of individual club sports and information that appears on their websites, either expressly provided by the clubs or from links contained within their sites, do not necessarily state or reflect those of Ball State University or Recreation Services. Ball State University and Recreation Services do not maintain any club websites or any social media pages of the clubs. The content regarding club teams is for informational purposes only.

Information for Club Officers

As an officer you are responsible for working with the Office of Recreation Services to complete and submit all pertinent registration forms. Call or stop by our main office in the Jo Ann Gora Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Room 201A, or call 765-285-1753. If you have questions, you may also reach us by email.

Currently, there are not plans to offer Intramural Sports in the Fall 2026 Semester. If that changes, this site will be updated. 

Intramural Sports are for Ball State students, faculty, staff, alumni and spouses with valid Ball State identification card looking to play sports against others on campus, all sports with open leagues.
