DEGREES:

Ph.D. in Learning, Teaching, & Curriculum (Mathematics Education), University of Missouri-Columbia
M.S. in Mathematics, Murray State University
B.S. in Mathematics, Murray State University

Chris has taught mathematics in a variety of settings over the past 15 years. He has particularly enjoyed working with pre-service elementary and middle school teachers in four different states (Kentucky, Missouri, Maine, and now Indiana), and had great experiences visiting over 50 elementary classrooms in Missouri as part of a research project involving Elementary Mathematics Specialists. Chris has several research interests, most of which center around children’s mathematical intuitions, how they communicate those intuitions with other people, and how their work relates to mathematical practices. In his free time, Chris is either playing with his three children, cooking, or spending time on a woodworking project.
