Holly has over 18 years of experience in teaching mathematics including high school in California, middle school in Texas and university classes at the University of Idaho and Ball State University.

Holly recently finished her 12th year at BSU which has included work with the Active Learning Space initiative and working with the redesign teams for MATH 125, 108, 111, 102 and 110. Holly received the Lawhead Teaching Award in General Education in 2014 and the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2021. She has served on multiple department committees, previously served as both chair and secretary for the University NTL Faculty Committee (currently a member), has recently served on University Senate and will be continuing to serve on the Senate as well as the Senate Agenda committee for the coming year. Holly was a key player in starting up the Math Emporium and still serves as the MATH 110 and 102 Course Coordinator. She enjoys attending conferences when possible and presenting at workshops across the country when invited to do so.

Outside of her teaching career, Holly has enjoyed cheering on her son at band performances and on the soccer pitch. She loves the outdoors, camping and traveling with her favorite now 18 year old son.
