Tinker Street (16th Street) serves as a seam between two historic neighborhoods, Herron Morton Place and the Old Northside. While historically not developed as a “main street”, the two neighborhoods have come to see the potential of the street to redevelop to serve just that purpose—a signature street with goods and services serving adjacent neighborhoods.
CAP:IC worked with the two neighborhoods on an urban design workshop to develop visions for the future of Tinker Street in 2003.
