Located just to the northwest of downtown Indianapolis, the
United Northwest Area community is a collection of early-20th century neighborhoods anchored by components of prominent landscape architect George Kessler’s Indianapolis Parks and Boulevards system. Facing disinvestment and decay, the neighborhood and City of Indianapolis initiated a planning process in 2005 to update the adopted neighborhood plan.
CAP:IC provided facilitation support, Web site support, and facilitated an urban design workshop with neighborhood residents to explore the neighborhood’s future.
