Jim Rhinehart
Associate Teaching Professor of Musical Theatre
Dr. Jim Rhinehart is a pianist, composer, and arranger who has performed in theme parks, theatre pits, and on the concert stage. He holds doctoral and bachelor's degrees in music theory and composition, and a master's degree in choral music education.
Jim has been a pianist or music director for countless shows in Michigan, Florida, and Indiana. He has performed at all five parks at Walt Disney World, in Key West with a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, and on one below-freezing December day, opening for Mike Love of the Beach Boys at the 100th anniversary of the first flight in Kill Devil Hills, NC.
More than anything, Jim enjoys sharing the arts, whether as a solo pianist, compost/arranger, or teacher/collaborator. He is thankful to be able to do all of these at Ball State.
