William Osetek teaches at Ball State University Department of Theatre and Dance (2012- present) where he annually directs the Chicago Senior Showcase. Additional Ball State University credits include Working, Nunsense, 39 Steps, and The Gift. Former Artistic Director of Drury Lane Theatre in Chicago (2006-2019) where his credits include: Mamma Mia!, Chicago, Young Frankenstein, Spamalot and Thoroughly Modern Millie, Deathtrap, White Christmas, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Game’s Afoot, Sunset Boulevard, Gypsy, Funny Girl, Mame, The Mousetrap, Of Thee I Sing, The Pirates of Penzance, Camelot, Barefoot in the Park, and The King & I. Mr. Osetek has 10 Joseph Jefferson nominations and was the recipient of the 2014 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Director of a Musical for Next to Normal. In addition to his directing credits, Osetek’s adaptation of A Christmas Carol has been performed at Drury Lane for 14 seasons. With a B.A. in Theatre from Loyola University of Chicago, Mr. Osetek has an M.F.A. in directing from Illinois State University.
