The master of arts (MA) is designed for students who are interested in broad coverage of the discipline of music at the graduate level.
With a one-plan, 30-credit-hour curriculum, the MA balances music performance, history and musicology, theory, and education, plus additional elective courses. Elective courses might be used by students seeking professional certification in teaching.
This degree program does not require an audition or portfolio review beyond general admission requirements.
