The Symplicity Corporation is a national recruiting network and suite of web-based recruiting and career services automation tools for colleges, employers, and job candidates. Ball State offers you this convenient way to communicate employment opportunities to Ball State students and alumni and to manage on-campus recruiting visits.

On-campus recruiting is a convenient way to fill your organization's hiring needs.

To have the best possible experience recruiting Ball State University candidates, you should set your interview date four to six weeks in advance. This will allow time for the Career Center to market your job opportunities effectively and reserve your private recruiting space. Common on-campus recruiting activities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Information Table

Request to reserve a table in one of Ball State's busiest student areas. Tables are commonly placed in a dining area, but they can be displayed throughout campus to target a specific audience. You will engage with students, talk about your company and open positions, and hand out goodies (if you choose).

Information Session

Reserve a classroom on campus to speak with students about your company, open positions, or industry trends. Classrooms can be located throughout campus, and we will help promote your session to students you are looking to meet.

On-Campus Interviews

Interview rooms are located in Lucina Hall and are open for employers to reserve. Each room is Wi-Fi enabled and offers a private room on campus for an interview to be conducted.

Yes! The Career Center provides opportunities for alumni employers to give back to Ball State University by volunteering and engaging students.

  • The Practice Interview Program allows for students to experience a real, on-campus interview with live feedback from hiring managers, human resources managers, seasoned professionals, CEOs, and vice presidents.
  • Cardinal Career Network offers students direct contact with alumni, via phone or email, to learn more about their industries and professions. Each alum volunteers to be contacted three times per month. 
  • Visiting Practitioner's Program invites recent graduates of the Miller College of Business to engage with business students and faculty through classroom discussion, small groups, and networking forums.
  • Visiting Fellows Program invites recent graduates of the College of Sciences and Humanities to engage science students and faculty through presentations and discussions regarding industry trends, technology, research, and current issues within the life sciences.
