Living in one of our residence halls or University Apartments is a great value, providing convenience, a supportive environment, and a variety of services! Use our online housing application to submit and complete your contract for the residence halls or the University Apartments.

Housing Applications for AY 24-25

First-Year students who have been admitted and confirmed to Ball State University for the 24-25 Academic Year can begin applying for on-campus housing through the Housing Portal on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

Students who have confirmed their offer of admissions to the University will be sent information via email to their Ball State Outlook account on how to apply for on-campus housing.

Room Self-Selection for First-Year Students

Self-Selection is when students choose their own bed space in the residence hall with the Living-Learning Community that correlates with the major they've declared through the University.

Signature Experience

The Office of Housing and Residence Life is piloting a Signature Experience opportunity for incoming first-year students in partnership with the Honors College, the College of Communication Information and Media, and their Living-Learning Communities.
