If you’re looking for a quiet place to live off campus that’s affordable, comfortable, and still close to Ball State, look no further. University Apartments are a great place to call home.

Our two communities—Anthony and Scheidler—accommodate upper-level single students, students with families, and Ball State faculty members. These apartments are connected to the university but offer independence, a family-like atmosphere, and a safe environment.

Utilities

University Apartments are an affordable and convenient option for student and staff. Many places require residents to pay their own utilities, but our rent includes:

  • electricity
  • heat
  • water
  • sewage
  • trash removal
  • internet service
  • cable TV

Amenities

  • air conditioning – provided in Anthony Apartments; Scheidler residents may have one air conditioner installed for no additional charge
  • community room – includes a widescreen TV, VCR, stereo sound system, kitchen, and movable furniture, available for residents at no charge
  • computer lab – computers, printer, and scanner available in the community building for all residents
  • laundry facilities – low-cost washers and dryers operated by Cardinal Cash or coins
  • maintenance – routine maintenance and repairs provided by our own personnel
  • parking – lots for residents and visitors conveniently located close to the units
  • programs – social and educational activities organized to build a sense of community and connection
  • recreation areas – available for adults and children, including a sand volleyball pit and playgrounds
  • storage cubicles – provided for Scheidler residents

Location

You won’t have to use a lot of gas driving. Our apartments are conveniently located on the north end of campus, along Ball State shuttle and city bus routes. You’ll be near local shopping, restaurants, and popular hangouts, as well as Muncie schools.

Floor Plans and Rates

Five floor plans with one, two, or three bedrooms are available, including larger townhouse-style units as well as apartments for residents with disabilities. A few apartments can be rented furnished, or you may select furnishings to rent that reflect your own style from our preferred vendor, CORT.

And like the Ball State campus, our buildings are tobacco-free.

Furnishings

At University Apartments, we have a limited number of furnished apartments available for rent at an increased cost. When you apply online for an apartment, make sure to indicate your preference for this type of unit.

However, if you would rather select your own furnishings, CORT, Ball State's preferred vendor, can help with a variety of rental packages that start at $55 per month when you share the costs with a roommate. Their furnishings can complete your living room, bedroom, dining room, study, or patio area.
