The Ball State Summer Concert Band is open to all students, faculty, alumni, and community members. The ensemble offers a concert band experience and opportunity to continue making music with limited rehearsal and performance demands. Repertoire includes traditional band favorites, marches, and lighter works representing a variety of musical styles.

There is no audition requirement for the Summer Concert Band. Those interested in participating should contact the Ball State Ensembles Office at 765-285-9178.

Graduate Program in Wind Conducting

The graduate program in wind band conducting is a small and selective program that prepares students to effectively function in academic and professional settings. Ball State offers  a master of music with a major in conducting and the doctor of arts in music with a primary emphasis in conducting. Graduate assistantships and yearly stipends are available for students in these programs.
