Kelly Siler
Senior Lecturer in Department of Media
Kelly Siler is an instructor in the Department of Media at Ball State University with a focus in the Media Promotion and Management concentration. Kelly started her teaching career at Baker College in Auburn Hills, Michigan. There, she instructed students on business ethics and the fundamentals of communications. She returned to Ball State in 2002 as an instructor in the English Department. She taught both technical writing for the workplace and composition, with a concentration on rhetorical devices and strategies. In addition, Kelly served on several departmental committees, guided students as the internship coordinator, and received recognition for her teaching and service to the department.
Prior to joining Ball State, Kelly served as a both a field service manager and sales consultant for AT&T. She also worked in Washington, D.C., then later in Indianapolis, for the US House and Senate. She assisted with speech writing and served as a liaison between constituents and congressional representatives.
Kelly holds a BA in Telecommunications and a MS in Information Sciences, both from Ball State University. She and her two boys enjoy many of the activities and sporting events Ball State has to offer its faculty, staff, and students.
