Rob Brookey
Director of Digital Storytelling and Professor in Department of Media
Joined the Media faculty at Ball State University in 2013, and he also serves as the Director of Graduate Studies for the MA program in Digital Storytelling. He received in BA and MA from the University of Arkansas, and his PhD from the University of Minnesota. Before coming to Ball State, he served on the faculty at Stonehill College, Arizona State University and Northern Illinois University.
His research analyzes digital media convergence in video games, DVDs, and social media. He is the author of Hollywood Gamers: Digital Convergence in the Film and Video Game Industries and co-editor of Playing to Win: Sports, Video Games and the Culture of Play. His work has also appeared in Critical Studies in Media Communication, Games and Culture, Convergence, and Communication, Culture and Critique.
