Sonny Wingler has been an Associate Lecturer of Media at Ball State University since 2010. A native Hoosier, Sonny is also a two-time graduate of Ball State Media, having received his B.A. in 2002 and his M.A. in 2006. Sonny teaches audio and video production classes and is currently the department’s Internship Coordinator.

Sonny is also a freelance sound designer/editor and location sound mixer for film and television. Prior to accepting his teaching position at Ball State, Sonny lived in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, CA, where he worked on a wide variety of productions. Some notable titles include the reality televisions shows “Trick My Truck” for CMT and “Kendra” for E!, films SCALENE and PROXY, and numerous government and corporate projects for clients such as Boeing and EA Sports. Sonny continues to work on freelance projects in his free time.
