Dr. Lindsey Blom is an Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Research within the College of Health, a John & Janice Fisher Distinguished Professor, and a Professor of Sport and Exercise Psychology. 

As a scholar, she investigates positive youth development in and through sport and using sport to promote peace at the individual, community, and international levels, using a community-based participatory research approach to collaboratively solve practical issues. More specifically, her projects include educating coaches on positive youth development with the Coach Beyond program, exploring peace indicators and development of purpose in Liberian youth, conducting sport for social change programs in India, Jordan, and Tajikistan, developing a values-based curriculum that can be infused into recreational sport leagues, chairing the NASPE task force for the position statement on Maximizing the Benefits of Youth Sport, and running local after-school sport for peace and leadership programs with elementary school children.

Dr. Blom has held various administrative roles at Ball State, including Senior Associate Athletic Director for Championship Performance, and Senior Kinesiology Advisor to the Dean, and Chairperson for the School of Kinesiology. She is also a Fellow of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and served as the President of the organization. To accompany her educational training and research experience, Lindsey has almost 20 years of consulting experience as a certified mental performance consultant (CMPC), working with administrators, coaches, and athletes from the youth to the elite level.
