The Student Center not only provides fun and free events, it's also home to many important offices on campus. Student organizations that provide entertainment and education for Ball State, such as the University Program Board and Student Life, have offices in the Student Center. Fraternity and sorority governance offices, volunteer organizations, and many more groups are housed in the Student Center

Services
The Student Center offers a variety of rooms and room set-ups for you to host your events and meetings. Meeting rooms are free to use for on-campus student organization, academic, and administrative events, you simply need to fill out an online request form. University Catering is the exclusive catering service for the Student Center.
Student Center Programs is a unit of the Student Center that mainly focuses on planning programs for the students. The office is made up of two student organizations, Late Nite and the University Program Board (UPB). Late Nite plans events every Saturday from 9 p.m. till 1 a.m. UPB plans various types of events throughout the year but also presents Friday Night Filmworks every Friday at 9 p.m. The office is responsible for working with other departments to plan Family Weekend every year.

Printing Services is a cost recovery auxiliary that maintains an in-house graphic reproduction system dedicated to providing efficient, high quality, cost effective services for the campus community.

Introducing, Hot Heads on Campus, a Paul Mitchell styling salon located in the Student Center. The salon welcomes all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We love to meet new guests!

The salon has four styling chairs and a waxing station. We offer cuts, colors, balayage, highlights, ombre, keratin, conditioning, brows, and beard services. We also carry a complete line of Paul Mitchell hair care products available for purchase. 

The salon is owned and operated by Tena Rees, a Ball State alumna, whom is thrilled to be back on campus.

Monday - Friday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Saturday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Office of Student Conduct provides the following services for the University community:

  • administers the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities
  • responds to allegations of misconduct
  • provides support to the Associate Provost in grade appeals and academic misconduct procedures
  • helps students understand and navigate other university policies and procedures
  • oversees compliance with the Clery Act publishing annual security and fire safety reports for students, employees, and the general public.

Student Legal Services (SLS) can help you with

  • criminal law
  • all areas of civil law, including landlord/tenant, contracts, consumer, employment, tort, debtor/creditor, probate, real estate, traffic tickets, and family matters
  • provide you with legal reference materials and fill-in-the blank forms for leases, subleases, housing inspection forms, and roommates' agreements.  We also prepare some contracts and other legal documents.
