Student Financial Services Updates 

Spring 2023 fees were assessed to the student accounts earlier than in previous terms. Due to the timing, room & board and student aid have not yet posted for the upcoming term. Billing statements will be processed on December 8, 2022 as scheduled and the Spring charges will be due by January 1, 2023. To pay what is owed on December 1, 2022, please refer to your most recent billing statement.

The university will be re-introducing late fees on past due balances beginning with the November 1, 2022 due date.  We modified our previous policy to a more student- centered and equity-based model by charging a flat fee of $20 on accounts which pay less than the Deferment Amount (minimum payment) or pay after the due date.

The Office of Student Financial Services is responsible for the billing, collecting, and depositing of all money owed to and/or collected by Ball State University, in addition to setting up and maintaining Cardinal Cash accounts. We also prepare the federal tax Form 1098-T.
