The University will be closed for Winter Recess beginning on December 23, 2025, at 3 P.M. through January 4, 2026. All payments can still be made online via eBill. Please note the following important information:

  • Billing Information:  The 1st Spring Bill were published on December 11, 2025.  Please pay at least the Minimum Payment Due by the Due Date to avoid a late fee or a registration hold. If your Minimum Amount Due is $0.00, you do not have a payment due for the next billing cycle.

  • Payments received by January 5, 2026, will not be considered late due to the Winter Recess.

  • Form 1098-T:  Due to Winter Recess (December 24, 2025, to January 4, 2025), only payments (electronic, mailed, or in-person) received by our office on or before December 19, 2025 are guaranteed to be included on your 2025 Form 1098-T.  Ball State University will provide electronic Form 1098-T statements to all eligible students by the end of January 2026.   • Authorized Payer/Proxy:  Ensure that you have set up your Authorized Payer (adding a Payer to eBill) and Proxy (Option to designate additional persons who may communicate with BSU entities on your behalf).

  • Financial Aid: Financial aid will be applied to student accounts beginning January 1, 2026. You may view current account activity details via eBill
  • Financial Aid Refunds: We will begin processing refunds on January 5, 2026. Sign up for direct deposit and complete all outstanding aid requirements before January 1, 2026, to avoid delays.

All payments are due the first of every month.  Please pay at least the Minimum Amount Due on your eBill to avoid a hold that could prevent registration.

The Office of Student Financial Services is responsible for the billing, collecting, and depositing of all money owed to and/or collected by Ball State University, in addition to setting up and maintaining Cardinal Cash accounts. We also prepare the federal tax Form 1098-T.
