The University Police Department (UPD) is offering free self-defense classes for students and staff of the University. These courses are a hybrid of lecture and practical activity that will prepare participants to improve their awareness and physical capabilities to defend themselves against physical assault. Physical participation is encouraged and is geared toward individual abilities. No egos here. Only improved perception, awareness, physical ability, and confidence.
The two-hour classes are held at 7 p.m. at UPD and are provided by instructors certified in Use of Force through the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board. These instructors have decades of experience as police officers and as Use of Force Instructors. Registration for these courses can be done by completing the form. Classes fill quickly so register today.
