The GIS Research and Map Collection (GRMC) offers a substantial collection of cartographic resources, GIS software, consultative and instructional services to advance GIS research, expert mapping assistance, and cartographic reference and instructional services using a wide-ranging collection of geospatial materials.

  • Beginning Monday, August 3, the GIS Research and Map Collection is open by appointment only to the general public (including Ball State University students, staff, faculty, and emeriti). Research visits should be scheduled 24 to 48 hours in advance. 
  • Reading room/public space capacity has been reduced in accordance with physical distancing best practices.
  • A mask must be worn during visits to the Libraries.
