Alexander Stearns
(he/him)
is a costume
technician and designer
who plays with proportion and texture to tell stories on stage. Originally from California, he obtained his B.A. in Theatre Arts at Cal Poly Humboldt, followed by his M.F.A. in Theatre at Texas State University.
He’s
been the recipient of several awards from KCACTF Region 7 for his work on
Avenue Q,
Kiss Me, Kate (Revised),
Jungalbook
,
and
Peter and the Starcatcher
.
In 2017, he was selected to present his costume designs for
Peter and the Starcatcher
at the Kennedy Center.
Other
notable productions
he's
designed were Texas State’s
Cabaret
, and the world premiere of
The Survivors
.
He’s
honored to
have
be
en
selected as an Emerging Creative by USITT in 2020.
His Ball State credits include
