The Master of Arts in Curriculum and Educational Technology is a completely online, 30-credit program designed for educators seeking to integrate technology into K-12 curriculum and other instructional contexts where learning and teaching occur. This program can be taken entirely online. Graduates are prepared to become leaders within their instructional contexts through course work and experiences that focus on development of a conceptual framework in which technology is an embedded aspect of the teaching and learning process and curriculum development strengthens instructional practice. The program prepares graduates to develop curriculum and utilize technology to meet learning needs of students and to critically examine technology’s ever-changing presence within schools and society.

Two specialization tracks are available: curriculum or educational technology. The Master of Arts in Curriculum and Educational Technology is a unique program that emphasizes technology integration within learning and teaching contexts. All students in the program take 21 credits of courses common to both areas. Students choose a track that best suits their career interests.

Certificate Options

If you are interested, you can complete the MA in Curriculum and Educational Technology while also earning a Certificate in Computer Education, Certificate or Add-On License in Virtual and Distance Education, or Certificate in Curriculum Development and Leadership. There are no additional courses; you just need to be strategic in your planning.
