Stefanía Ægisdóttir, Ph.D., is professor in the Department of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology, and Counseling. She is the director of the master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a graduate of the University of Iceland (psychology B.A.; teacher license), and Ball State University (community counseling MA; counseling psychology PH.D.). Her doctoral internship was completed at the Delaware County Juvenile Detention Center, Muncie, IN. She is co-editor of the International Handbook of Cross-Cultural Counseling: Cultural Assumptions and Practices Worldwide. She has written about cross-cultural research methods, attitudes and expectations about counseling, clinical judgment, and international and cross-cultural issues and competencies in counseling research and training. Dr. Stef is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) Divisions 52 (International Psychology) and 17 (Society of Counseling Psychology).
