Matthew Wilson, LEED AP, PhD has taught aspects of the history of architecture as well as urbanism, interior design and design-build in Europe and the Americas. His research focuses on the nineteenth and twentieth-century political, philosophical and epistemological motivations of spatial design. Matthew studied architecture at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he received the School of Architecture’s Senior Architecture Award. He graduated with a Master of Arts with Distinction in Landscape Urbanism at the Architectural Association in London, and has a certificate in Parametric Structures from the Istanbul Technical University. His PhD research as a Crossland Scholar at Royal Holloway, University of London, was awarded La Maison d’Auguste Comte’s Prix de Thèse. Matthew is currently developing his first full-length monograph for Routledge’s Planning and Urban Design Series.
