Victoria Meldrum
Manager of Publications and Web Services
Victoria Meldrum is the manager of publications and web services for the Center for Business and Economic Research at Ball State University. She collaborates with colleagues and students in the creation of high-quality, data-driven, content-focused products for print and digital communication. These include infographics, publications, and websites for an audience of business professionals, policy makers, and government agencies. She has held design positions within CBER since Fall 2006.
The CBER publications team has earned several design awards from our peers in the Association for University Business and Economic Research. Meldrum is an active contributor to AUBER and frequently presents on data visualization, print & digital project design, and communications strategies. She has served on the board of directors, collaborates in conference planning, and assists the AUBER Business Office as a communications consultant.
Meldrum was recognized as an emerging scholar at the International Conference on Design Principles & Practices in Barcelona, Spain. She co-presented "The Path to Success Quest: Using design thinking to create a user-centered experience that prepares high school students for adulthood," a collaborative project developed with Ball State's Center for Emerging Media Design and Development. The peer-reviewed article appears in The International Journal of Design Education.
Meldrum earned a bachelor's degree in journalism graphics from Ball State University in Spring 2008 and a master’s degree in emerging media design and development in Fall 2021. Her research interests include place attachment, group belonging, creative storytelling, design thinking, and user experience (UX).
