Potential Student Project(s): Research on how consumers expect robots and AI technologies to be regulated in service industries, specifically hospitality and tourism businesses.
Attributes/skills/background sought in undergraduate: Students should should be interested in survey development and laws and regulations for protecting consumers from issues with robots and AI.
Mentoring Plan: I will meet with the student to assist in the development of a survey to learn about how consumers want robots and AI to be regulated. We will discuss survey development and sampling methodology. When the data have returned, we will discuss how to analyze the data and show how it is relevant to businesses.
