  • Document student perceptions of accounting careers
  • Measure the impact of President Trump’s speaking style on market efficiency

Attributes/skills/background sought in undergraduate:

  • Curiosity about how information moves financial markets
  • Strong reading and time management skills
  • Organization and time management
  • Desire to understand analytics

Mentoring Plan: The student researcher will work 5 h/week on the project including a 1-on-1 interaction with me for at least 1 hour/week.  My preference is for an in-person meeting, but I am willing to be flexible and meet via Zoom. I will help you use common techniques (Kinney Questions and Libby Boxes) to read, summarize, and understand accounting research. These research skills will improve your ability to understand and analyze a wide variety of problems.
