If you have a current Ball State parking permit, you need to register each vehicle that will be using it.
This means you…
- must report changes to the license plate number or registered owner
- cannot use your permit on a vehicle that belongs to another student, employee, or a family member of another student or employee
- cannot register a vehicle that belongs to another student, employee, or a family member of another student or employee
Violations of these requirements may result in a citation or revocation of your parking privileges.
To add a vehicle to your permit or make a change to a currently registered vehicle, you must provide the following information to the Office of Parking Services.
- license plate number
- registration state
- license plate type
- license plate expiration date (month/year)
- vehicle year
- vehicle make
- vehicle color
- registered owner’s name, address, and relationship to you
Instructions
You must update your permit online. We cannot make changes in the office or over the phone.
Add or Edit a Vehicle
To update the information for a vehicle that is already registered with the University:
- Visit our online portal.
- In the top-right corner, Select “Login.”
- Select “Affiliated Login.”
- Enter your Ball State username and password.
- In the bottom-left corner, select “View Your Permits.”
- Select your current permit.
- Click on the plate number in the list of Associated Vehicles.
- Choose “Edit.”
- Follow the prompts for the required information.
To add a new vehicle to your existing permit:
- Visit our online portal.
- In the top-right corner, Select “Login.”
- Select “Affiliated Login.”
- Enter your Ball State username and password.
- In the bottom-left corner, select “View Your Permits.”
- Select your current permit.
- At the bottom, select the “Add Vehicles to Permit” button.
- Choose either:
a. previously registered vehicle from the list, then select “Add the selected vehicle”
b. the “Add a new vehicle” button
- Follow the prompts for required information.
Rental or Loaner Cars
You may add a rental or loaner vehicle to your Ball State parking permit. After you have added the vehicle to your permit, contact Parking Services with the expiration date.
