Accreditation is the process higher education institutions undergo to be qualified to grant degrees in academic programs. Ball State University earns accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission in a process led by the Office of the Provost.

The Office of Institutional Research and Decision Support supports the accreditation process by providing data and analysis on key metrics.
