R. Wayne Estopinal, president of a Jeffersonville, Ind., architectural firm, has been appointed by Gov. Mitch Daniels to Ball State University's Board of Trustees, as Richard Hall is reappointed to the board. Both appointments are for four-year terms.

Longtime member and president of the Ball State Board of Trustees, Thomas L. DeWeese, announced he will retire from the university's top leadership group effective Dec. 31. The board then voted to promote Hollis E. Hughes Jr. to the president's chair. It also approved a change in student fees for the Intensive English Institute and accepted the university's audited financial report for the fiscal year concluded June 30, 2010.
