Blaine Bishop, a 1993 Ball State alumnus and 10-year veteran of the National Football League, will be the principal speaker at Ball State University's annual Winter Commencement on Dec. 20. Phil Repp, recognized by Campus Technology magazine as one of its 2008 innovators of the year for the development of Ball State's Digital Corps, has been appointed vice president for information technology at the university. As such, he will be an even more prominent figure in Ball State's recently announced Emerging Media Initiative that seeks to invest more than $17 million in developing human capital for an important and growing segment of Indiana's economy.
