The Ball State University Alumni Center is a unique 50,000 sq. ft multi-use facility located just north of the main Ball State University campus. The building houses the offices of the Ball State University Foundation and has multiple spaces available for events. 

All parties interested in reserving space in the Alumni Center must complete the Event Space Request form. Upon completion, a member of our team will follow up if additional information is needed. You will receive a confirmation within three (3) business days when your reservation is confirmed, or an email from the Alumni Center if we are unable to fulfill your request. We appreciate your partnership in helping us create a successful event experience.

Is there a cost to reserve the Alumni Center?

There is no charge associated with reserving the Alumni Center. However, to reserve the space, the reserving party must be sponsored by a Ball State University department on campus.

How do I book catering for my event?

All events at the Alumni Center are required to follow University Catering guidelines. The event coordinator is required to contact University Catering directly, catering@bsu.edu or 765-285-3500, to arrange catering needs.

Where can my guests park for the event?

Events at the Alumni Center are required to follow University Parking regulations.  The event coordinator is required to contact Parking Services directly, Parking@bsu.edu or 765-285-1208, to arrange parking needs.

Can I book an event outdoors at the Alumni Center?

There are available green spaces around the front and side of the Alumni Center that are available to reserve. For inquiries, please fill out the event space request form.

History of the Alumni Center

The Alumni Center was completed in 1997 by internationally renowned architectural firm Pei, Cobb, Freed, and Partners, designers of the addition to the Louvre and the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. The project architect was James Freed.

The Alumni Center has a 47-foot-high glass conservatory and has three live palm trees located in the Thomas L. DeWeese Conservatory Hall. Guests of the space can also enjoy a historical photo timeline of Ball State University, located on the walls of the conservatory. The Alumni Center is also a stop on the Experience Garfield Trail in partnership with Destination Muncie.
