National Society of Leadership and Success

The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is the largest leadership honor society in the United States. NSLS is an organization that provides a life-changing leadership program that helps students achieve personal growth, career success and empowers them to have a positive impact in their communities.

Here at Ball State, the chapter’s goal as a national organization is to “build leaders who make a better world.”  Through our chapter of NSLS, members take steps towards induction that focus on core leadership skills that help members discover and achieve their goals.

NSLS is available to freshmen and sophomores and students are selected based on exemplary academic achievement and leadership potential.

NSLS Leadership Program

The NSLS leadership program teaches the interpersonal skills that employers seek to give you an edge in the job market. Hear directly from current members as they share how their experience has changed their life.

Some of the member benefits are:

  • Learning from exceptional leaders like former President Barack Obama through exclusive Speaker Broadcasts
  • Meeting new friends and making lifelong connections (on-campus and virtually)
  • Overcoming challenges with success coaches' shortcutting your way to success
  • Accessing private networking events.

Get Involved

Typically, students are nominated by the chapter’s leaders. Students invited to their school's chapter have earned distinction with their nomination but must complete the leadership program requirements to achieve induction.

However, students can apply for membership by completing a nomination process online.

Visit the NSLS website to learn more or accept your nomination.
