The Sursa American Organ Competition will return in 2027!

Ball State University School of Music will be hosting the Sursa American Organ Competition live rounds in 2027. This event will feature some of the most talented organ performers in the United States in the pre-professional and high school divisions.
The candidates will perform their music on our Goulding and Wood organ, Op. 45.
All performances will be livestreamed. Detailed information about each division can be found in the tabs below closer to the competition date.
Travel and Accommodations
The Ball State University - Sursa American Organ Competition offers limited free accommodations in private homes in Muncie on a first-come, first-served basis. Other accommodations include a wide range of hotels on and off campus, including the Ball State University Hotel.
Arrangements for travel between the Indianapolis Airport and Muncie will be made for those competitors invited to the semi-finals.
