Charles Haynes is the Associate Director for Diversity and Community Outreach in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions who has been a committed servant leader at Ball State University for over 17 years. He oversee the diversity initiatives and community outreach; working with various partners across the state, like the Center for Leadership Development, Starfish Initiative, Indiana Latino Institute, Project Stepping-Stone out of Indianapolis, Dream Makers program here in Muncie, Indiana Black Expo, Indiana Latino Expo, and 100 Black Men of Indianapolis. He also works with the non-traditional populations like home schooled, adult, DACA students. He supervises the coordination of Senior Scholars, Explore Ball State, and 21st Century Scholars programs. He shares a recruitment territory in Marion County, where his focus is primarily on serving those schools with highly diverse student population. His favorite aspect of the university is being a part of a community of supportive professionals who are invested in the success of our students.
