Charles Haynes
Associate Director of Admissions for Diversity and Community Outreach
Biography
Charles Haynes is the Associate Director for Diversity and Community Outreach in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions who has been a committed servant leader at Ball State University for over 18 years. He oversees the diversity initiatives and community outreach; working with various partners across the state, like the Center for Leadership Development, Starfish Initiative, Indiana Latino Institute, Project Stepping-Stone out of Indianapolis, Dream Makers program here in Muncie, Indiana Black Expo, Indiana Latino Expo, and 100 Black Men of Indianapolis. He also works with the non-traditional populations like homeschooled, adult, and DACA students. He supervises the coordination of Senior Scholars, Explore Ball State, and 21st Century Scholars programs.
Charles works with students in Hendricks County and shares a recruitment territory in Marion County, where his focus is primarily on serving those schools with highly diverse student population. His favorite aspect of the university is being a part of a community of supportive professionals who are invested in the success of our students.
